A Colorado woman was arrested after she called the police to tell them she tried to kill her infant son.
On Tuesday, police in Pueblo arrested 28-year-old Savannah Jacobs after she called 911 to report she attempted to kill her 7-week -old son.
Police arrived to find the boy conscious and alert. He was taken to a local hospital where doctors found he suffered minor injuries consistent with choking.
Jacobs was booked on charged of attempted second-degree murder, child abuse, and violation of a protective order.
Police are still investigating the incident.
The infant was released into the custody of the Department of Human Services.
