Police in Chicago found a toddler’s severed head near the area where they found the child’s foot and hands earlier.
Police found the dismembered body parts near Garfield Park during a search this weekend.
The search began Saturday when someone saw what turned out to be a dismembered toddler foot floating in a lagoon.
Officers also found a decomposed right foot and a hand about 25 yards away.
Police say the child was likely between two to four years old.
Police are scouring missing persons reports to find a link.
“It is unthinkable that someone would dismember a child and throw them into the lagoon,” Alderman Jason Ervin said.
