A Pennsylvania man was arrested after he reportedly abused a 1-year-old boy, leaving him horribly injured in a hospital.
Police in Greensburg have charged 31-year-old Tyron Keyshawn Moore with child abuse after 1-year-old Armani Armstrong suffered multiple broken bones and head injuries while in his care.
Police say Moore was watching the child while his mother, Leeanne Armstrong, was at work.
When she came home and found the child badly injured Armstrong claimed the boy fell off a toy bicycle.
Armstrong says Moore prevented the mother from seeking help.
“He refused to let her out of the house,” the child’s uncle, Eric Armstrong, told CBS Pittsburgh. “He wouldn’t let her leave, he wouldn’t her her out of his sight.”
When Leeanne was finally able to call 911, the boy was rushed to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
“His two arms were in casts, he had a lot of bruising on the top of his head,” Eric Armstrong told the station. “And that’s, I guess, that’s caused by the bleeding in the brain.”
Doctors determined there was no way a fall could have caused the boy’s injuries.
Moore is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and child endangerment.
“I have no words for the man,” Eric Armstrong said. “I hope justice takes its course, you know, and he gets everything he has coming to him.”
