A West Virginia couple was arrested after they reportedly allowed a man to live in their house and sexually abuse their teenage daughter.
Police in Williamson charged 44-year-old Rodney Thomas and 43-year-old Thelma Louise Thomas with sexual abuse, according to court documents.
Police say the couple allowed 22-year-old Maximo Ayala Jr. to live at their home and knew that he was having a sexual relationship with their child.
Prosecutors say the relationship lasted from February 2014 until his arrested earlier this year.
Ayala is charged with first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault.
According to the criminal complaint, the 14-year-old victim is currently pregnant and already has a 5-month-old child. Police say there is a “great possibility” Ayala is the father of both children.
Along with the 14-year-old girl, Ayala is charged with sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.
Ayala is being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on $200,000 bond.
